Bijna de helft van al het plastic dat we gebruiken, beëindigt als afval. Umincorp gaat voor een slimmere aanpak met hun efficiënte technologie voor plasticverwerking en -recycling. Op deze manier wordt meer dan 90% van het plasticafval hergebruikt én is het recyclingproces sneller. In deze animatie wordt dit proces verder toegelicht.
In opdracht van Zwiers Communicatie ontwikkelden wij voor Umincorp een unieke maatwerk animatie waarin zij hun innovatieve technologie ‘Magnetic Density Separation’ (MDS) ophelderen.
Het doel van de animatie is om MDS meer onder de aandacht te brengen bij het grotere publiek en hen uitleg te geven over unieke werking van de technologie. De animatie is een combinatie van een weloverwogen kleurenpallet, unieke karakters en heldere visuals om de complexiteit van de technologie in een eenvoudige boodschap weer te geven.
Met deze animatie bereikt MDS het grotere publiek, wordt de technologie begrijpelijk en kan het via verschillende media worden ingezet, denk aan social channels, op events, op de website en zelfs tijdens presentaties. Door de juiste mix van kanalen en de focus op een specifieke doelgroep, resulteert dit in meer begrip, herkenning en bekendheid van de diensten van Umincorp.

We all throw away a lot of plastic, but all types of plastic mixed together. To be able to use this mix again you have to efficiently separate the types of plastic. Common used techniques separate the mix early in their process, recovering 60% of the plastics. So almost half still ends as waste.
As Umincorp we do it differently; we can recover almost 90%, leading to better economics ánd raw materials of very high quality. We separate plastics with an all-in-one plant, near to the source of the waste. The city of Amsterdam already uses our technology to recycle all her post-consumer plastic packaging waste. After removal of all non-plastic items, we shred the mixed plastics into small flakes. These flakes are washed thoroughly.
Then we put them in our Magnetic Density Separator. By using strong magnets and a special fluid we can separate the four types of plastics, in just one process step, Then they are collected separately by type: PP, HDPE, PS, and PET. Ready to become new products again.
